Summary

The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for leading the day-to-day activities related to conceptualizing and implementing market strategy and promotional initiatives and achieving commercial targets for the Deflux and Solesta brands.  The position will develop and execute strategic vision for how the Company shows and describes the value of the Deflux & Solesta products and drive the execution of that vision.  The position will ensure PLS develops compelling messaging, stories, case studies, videos, and presentations, and use them effectively across all direct and digital communication. The position will build a social media strategy for both Deflux & Solesta to effectively drive awareness, create influencers and build the bridge between healthcare professionals and patients.

Responsibilities

This role provides critical support promoting the product portfolio in the assigned territory, including but not limited to:

  • Support the presence at Solesta & Deflux industry meetings

  • Support global distributors in driving awareness and adoption of Deflux & Solesta

  • Lead the execution of the Sales Rep messaging platforms for Deflux & Solesta

  • Manage the Company’s social media agency for Deflux & Solesta

  • Bring new products and features to market through collaboration with our Marketing, Sales and Operations teams. Utilize insight from each department to successfully demonstrate the value of new product capabilities

  • Develop deep understanding of the buying audience by gathering insights around the ecommerce market, competitors, industry trends, target personas, buyer needs and the purchasing decision process. Utilize this information to establish best practices around who to target and which deliverables and strategies will ensure successful campaigns for future releases

  • Lead continuous monitoring and analysis of customer requests and ensure this knowledge, combined with industry knowledge, is effectively incorporated into the development of future product offerings, product marketing collateral and PR initiatives

  • Create product positioning, value propositions, and messaging that resonate with PLS’s buying audience; ensure that product marketing managers are providing messaging that is effectively used across internal and external communication

  • Identify market expansion opportunities for our products and lead coordinated efforts accordingly

  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience in a life sciences (medical device) product management or product marketing role

  • 2+ years of team management experience

  • Social media medical marketing strategic & executional expeience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

  • A depth of knowledge in medical device product management, new product development and launch, marketing strategy development

  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects across functional areas, and work independently when appropriate, in teams and as a sub-team lead

  • Strong communication and presentation skills: this person will regularly work closely with both internal teams and customers

  • Exceptional writing skills that emphasize value storytelling rather than jargon

  • Hands-on and results-oriented: you’ll own many projects from start to finish

  • Ability to learn new products and evaluate them in the competitive environment

  • Energy and enthusiasm to operate within a fast-growing, fast-changing environment- start-up experience a plus

  • Demonstrated experience utilizing analytics to solve and prioritize business challenges

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 40%

  • Strong strategic, analytical, and synthesis skills
