First introduced in June of 2020, The PedSpace was created specifically for pediatric urology healthcare professionals as a peer-to-peer educational resource. In just 10 months and with 14 episodes in its first season, The PedSpace has already achieved more than 1,000 downloads. Three new episodes have been released for Season Two, featuring top pediatric urology experts, presenting a wide variety of topics related to pediatric urology and VUR, including:

The PedSpace podcast is part of Palette’s larger commitment to global digital education for the pediatric urology community. The podcast is a featured resource in Palette’s Deflux Learning Center, an online platform that provides clinical information, education and training globally for pediatric urologists and their peers who treat vesicoureteral reflux (VUR) and other pediatric urology conditions.

“We have been very pleased with the reception of The PedSpace by the pediatric urology community,” said Richard Low, Vice President of Marketing, Palette Life Sciences. “We are proud to partner with healthcare professionals, including pediatric urologists, pediatricians, nurse practitioners, neonatologists, and pediatric hospitalists, to continue to provide relevant content and we look forward to continuing to develop this valuable educational resource.”

“I was excited for the opportunity to present topics in both Season One and Two of The PedSpace. The podcast highlights a variety of speakers who cover a broad range of interesting topics. I believe that my peers will continue to find useful insights as more podcasts are released,” said Dr. Steve Hodges, Board-Certified Pediatric Urologist at Wake Forest Baptist Health.

About Deflux

Deflux is a minimally invasive, day procedure treatment that has been proven safe and effective in children with vesicoureteral reflux (VUR) grade 2-4 in the United States, and in all grades worldwide. VUR is a serious pediatric urinary condition in which urine backflows from the bladder through one or both ureters toward the kidneys, due to an abnormality at the junction of the ureter and the bladder. Deflux is an injectable gel bulking agent made from two tissue-friendly polysaccharides: Non-Animal Stabilized Hyaluronic Acid (NASHA®) and dextranomer (Dx) microspheres. The product is administered via injection in the ureteral tunnel to prevent urine reflux. For more information, visit http://www.deflux.com.
